CVWOC Swapmeet - new video link added
16/02/2008 by G4USB.
Have just added a link to a you tube video clip that was produced at the
2006 Swapmeet [I know the year as my GT Beetle appears there]
The clip is interview styled and is from the Cornwall Culture Group.
Features Sam and Laura to name just two!
Well worth a click.
Don’t forget its Swapmeet time again on 22nd March at the same venue.

New FORUM for all Radio Amateurs & CRAC Members
07/02/2008 by G4USB.
I have put up a new Forum for use by anyone interested in the Amateur Radio hobby.
There are many sedctions that concentrate on the activities if the Cornish Radio Amateur
Club and some areas are protected by password and relate to member only areas of the
CRAC/CRAC Committee.
To register please visit the following URL
http://g4usb.proboards61.com
My suggestion for user name is your call sign
Choose your own password
Add your E.Mail address
Insert your date of birth [proboards are governed by US law and it is needed
to prove you are over 14 years of age I think it is.
Decide if you want others to see a link to your E. Mail or not on the board
Enter the check combination of figures and letters [stops machines from joining]
Accept board terms and conditions and click go
-
Await the activation E.Mail that will be auto generated by Proboards and sent
to the E.Mail address you entered in the registration process.
Log back in using the user name and password chosen
Enter the activation code supplied [may be carried over if you remain logged in
whilst awaiting the confirmatory e.mail]
This log in will add you to a list of applicants awaiting approval by me or Ken G0FIC
One of us will approve the application and next time you log in access to the Forum will
be waiting for you.
If you are a paid up member of the CRAC you will be issued with the password for the
protected area. If a Committee member a password for the Committee area will also
be sent.
Don’t just read what Ken and I have popped there already. This is an interactive discussion
Forum, pick a topic, add a thread[post] and see what activity it generates.
Write about the antennas, rigs, microphones or anything related to the hobby. Ask for help,
Pop an antenna design on the forum for other to try. Write a potted review of how you got
on with a certain rig. Anything really.
Put items for sale on the for sale area. You are fully responsible for the advert and we will
accept no responsibility for any trade completed as a result. If you are buying you have to
ensure you are buying what you think just like buying from a newspaper advert. If you are
looking for something add a post to the wanted area, someone may have it gathering dust.
Use the general area to post ideas for future Club activities or to ask if we can get involved
in something you want.
Play and enjoy.
Remember this is something I have set up in my own time using my own resources
I don’t expect to see bitching about it or wow it has been done. If you don’t like it
put a forum together yourself!
